About Académie Westboro Academy

Welcome to Académie Westboro Academy

Each student deserves to achieve their very best. Académie Westboro Academy has a French teacher and an English teacher dedicated specifically to helping every child reach their full potential whether it be through additional challenges or extra support.

Mission:

Académie Westboro Academy's mission is to provide truly bilingual and exceptional education, in a community-focused and nurturing environment. Académie Westboro Academy cultivates independence, critical-thinking and character, in preparation for life-long learning.

Classes & Curriculum:

Teaching and learning are at the heart of the school. By using the Ontario English curriculum, and the French first language curriculum from Québec, Westboro ensures a truly bilingual learning environment

Kindergarten: Students are exposed to French, right from the beginning. At Westboro Academy, we encourage their intellectual, emotional and creative capacities while instilling strong values, social skills and a sense of self.

Grades 1-6: A solid foundation for future success: find out about the grade 1-6 curriculum and how your child can benefit from our bilingual program.

Grades 7-8: Académie Westboro Academy curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong study skills in preparation for high school.

International Week:

Each year the entire school community engages in a week-long festival and celebration of international explorations. Académie Westboro Academy celebrates diversity and learns about music, food, religions, geography, politics and culture. It is a rich time for learning and the culminating event is a spectacular buffet of international foods in which the entire school community and parents participate.

Tips For Parents:

Helping your child organize his papers, books and assignments will go a long way to helping him feel motivated to learn. Disorganization is typical among young school-age children, but it can also lead to a feeling of being overwhelmed. Overwhelmed children spend more time and effort being frustrated and worried than they do learning. Be patient, but consistent, in helping your child organize his school supplies and assignments. This will help him feel in control, less overwhelmed and more motivated to learn.
