About
Established in 2016, Next Generation School describes its curriculum as "American Islamic," delivering a broad educational background that develops, promotes, and integrates academic distinction with Islamic matters, supplies an expansive Arabic language schedule, and encourages civic duty to create thriving and contributing members of a multinational society.
In the 2021-22 educational year, the school was available from pre-KG to Grade 9 and will add Grades 10, 11, and 12 over the following three academic years. Courses are mixed-gender from pre-KG to Grade 3, with pupils segregated into single-gender classes from Grade 4.
The school now has over 1,000 learners (half of the school's capacity) from over 40 ethnicities. The largest ethnicity group is other Arabs (at 35%), though more accurately, Emirati students account for 24%, Egyptian and Pakistani pupils each make up 12%, and Jordanian learners a further 10.5%. The other ethnicities from which students are marked are pretty broad, including France, India, Australia, Canada, and the U.S., to name a few.
Scholars - the plurality of whom are residents of different Arab countries and also include 210 Emirati pupils - are supported by a total of about 80 teachers who have been drawn to the school from across the globe. According to the most delinquent KHDA information, the largest ethnicity is Egyptian. Per the KHDA conditions, all teachers have a minimum capability of a Bachelor of Education or Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Coach turnover in 2021 was 18%, below the U.A.E. standard of 22-24%.
Teachers and trainees are supported by 53 Teaching Assistants (known as Learning aids, whose emphasis is on assisting students with their knowledge). Learning aids help 1 to 1 or in small classes while running pull-out sessions. The teacher: student ratio is 1:13. Class sizes vary from a max of 20 and a low of 22 in the remainder of the school. As a fairly young school, there are an average of 4 classes in each Elemental grade, decreasing to three for Grades 5 to 7 and 2 in Grades 8 and 9.
Curriculum
NGS observes the New York State Norms in its Early Years unit. The broader school tracks the New York curriculum of NGSS- Next Generation Science norms and NGLS – Next Generation Learning Standards for English Language Arts and Maths. Other topics include Arabic for first and second-language lecturers, Islamic for Arabic and non-Arabic speakers, U.A.E. Social investigations, Quran, Innovation/STEAM, Art, and Physical Education. With the development of the high school, French will also be presented. Teachers deliver distinctive classes in Innovation – standalone sessions where learners solve real-world issues, Quran – small group Quran sessions with Quran experts, and Reading – small group timetabled lesson sessions.
The examination model allows pupils to address momentous questions linked to social justice compositions, allowing them to challenge and dive deeper into the investigation units. In addition to embedding the Islamic threat, the school concentrates on Innovation and problem-solving by posing real-world issues and allowing the learners to solve the problems innovatively.
NGS extended its first High school class in 2021-22. Students can study various academic courses from the societies, arts, and engineering areas.

They include an Environment- friendly campus wholly covered with solar boards, a Z space – used for Creation, coding, and robotics, two whole science labs, two art studios, a design technology space, a Radio class, a Video studio, and a Maker room, in addition to ample classrooms with related technology. Independent restaurants, prayer spaces, and libraries exist for boys and girls.
Sports and outdoor structures include a huge gym, a big pool, five outdoor slopes, significant external play spaces, and gardens, including a K.G. play area, a running track, an Ice rink, a Green area, and Botanical parks.
